WORLD RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS AWARENESS DAY
On World Rheumatoid Arthritis Awareness Day (Feb 2, 2024), GRIP hosted an educational session on rheumatoid arthritis and other rheumatic/musculoskeletal diseases (RMDs), which affect 54 million Indians. Speakers Tavleen Kaur and Rashmi Bhamra covered symptoms, risk factors, diagnosis, and treatment options, emphasizing early diagnosis and patient education to support future pharmacists.
WORLD CANCER AWARENESS DAY
On World Cancer Day (Feb 4,2024), GRIP organized a cancer awareness session for B. Pharmacy students. The session, aligned with the theme “Close the Care Gap”, featured talks by Mr. Chetan Verma and Dr. Akash Jain, emphasizing early detection, prevention, and treatment. They encouraged students to adopt healthy habits and highlighted cancer’s intricacies, diagnosis, and treatment options, aiming to equip them with knowledge to raise awareness and help close the care gap.
On the occasion of National Women’s Day GRIP organized a seminar ent itled “Women Empowerment: Illuminating the Path for Women” on February 13, 2024. Dr. Anju Bajpai, Director, Utthan Foundation was the speaker of the day. She delivered an inspiring talk on the importance of women’s education, the need for gender equality and creating a safe and inclusive environment for women.
WOMEN SAFETY AWARENESS PROGRAM
On March 15, 2023, Global Research Group of Institutions, Radaur, hosted a seminar on “Women Safety” featuring Mr. Mahender Singh, Ms. Komal, and Mr. Pardeep as speakers. Ms. Komal emphasized the importance of women’s empowerment, self-defense, and awareness of their rights. She stressed the need for vigilance, especially on social media, and encouraged open communication about safety concerns. The institute honored the guests for their contributions to women’s safety.
On April 18, 2024, GRIP celebrated the rich tapestry of our nation’s cultural heritage – a treasure trove of traditions, stories, and legacies that have shaped our identity and enriched our lives. From ancient landmarks to time-honored customs, our heritage is a source of pride and inspiration, reminding us of the resilience and creativity of generations past.
On April 25,2024, World Malaria Day, Mr. Jagdeep Singh led an expert talk on “Empowering Communities” to combat malaria. He emphasized community empowerment through knowledge dissemination, resource provision, and targeted awareness campaigns. Mr. Singh highlighted the crucial role of local healthcare workers and encouraged grassroots efforts, collaboration, and collective action towards a malaria-free world. His insightful talk inspired positive change and provided a roadmap for community-based initiatives.
On April 24, 2024, Global Research Institute of Pharmacy hosted an expert talk to mark Ayushman Bharat Diwas. Dr. Neha Yadav delivered the talk, enlightening students about the Ayushman Bharat Scheme, which offers annual health insurance coverage of Rs 5 lakh to 10 crore underprivileged families, covering hospitalization and treatment expenses. He also provided guidance on the process of obtaining an Ayushman card.

On May 8, 2024, GRIP Celebrated “World Red Cross Day” is an excellent opportunity for individuals and communities to demonstrate their support for the Red Cross’s vital efforts in providing humanitarian assistance and promoting humanitarian values worldwide. B. Pharmacy students from the Global Research Institute of Pharmacy formed a human chain in commemoration of “World Red Cross Day”
GRIP, Radaur, marked World Hypertension Day on May 17, 2024, with a quiz competition for B. Pharmacy students. The event aimed to raise awareness about hypertension, its consequences, and preventive measures. Winners included Ritik Dhuria and Bhaviya Saini (1st position), Sameer and Aniket (2nd position), and Anu and Shejal (3rd position). The quiz reinforced students’ knowledge and encouraged them to become hypertension awareness advocates in their future roles.
GRIP observed International Yoga Day on June 21, 2024, by spreading awareness about the benefits of
yoga for physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Led by Mr. Vikrant, DPE, the event highlighted
how yoga can reduce stress, improve flexibility, and increase balance in daily life.
International Day Against Drug Abuse
On June 26, 2024, we united at GRIP to raise awareness about the devastating effects of drug abuse on individuals, families, and communities worldwide. We shed light on how drug abuse shatters lives, fuels crime, and perpetuates violence. Together, we took a stand to create a healthier, safer world free from the grip of drugs. Our collective efforts made a difference, bringing us closer to a future where everyone can thrive.
On July, 03 GRIP organized a seminar on “Exploring the Environmental Impact and Sustainable Alternatives” for B. Pharmacy students to celebrate Plastic Bag Free Day. The talk was presented by Ms. Tavleen Kaur, Assistant Professor, GRIP. The talk aimed to explore the environmental impact of plastic bag usage and discuss sustainable alternatives. It sought to raise awareness about the effects of plastic waste on ecosystems and human health. The seminar highlighted practical solutions, such as reusable bags and biodegradable materials, aiming to empower attendees to adopt plastic-free practices for a sustainable future.

On World Book and Copyright Day, the Global Research Institute of Pharmacy (GRIP) hosted an enlightening session with Dr. Ashwani Dhingra as the keynote speaker.
